Visit by Lama Norhla Rinpoche

Lama Norlha Rinpoche, abbot and spiritual director of Kagyu Thubten Chöling Monastery in Wappingers Falls, NY, visited East Tennessee on May 3-6, 2007. He was accompanied by a group of ordained Tibetan Buddhist lamas and recent monastic graduates of the monastery's traditional three-year retreat.

A program which featured sacred chanting, lama dancing and the documentary Daughters of Wisdom was presented both at the University of Tennessee and the Knoxville Museum of Art.

In addition, the group performed Tara chanting, Amitabha long life practice and lama dancing at the Milarepa Osel Chö Dzong in Happy Valley, TN. The photos below are from that event.
